At the start of the game the dealer deals two cards face up to each player and two to himself face down. Having done that, he turns over his first card so that it is visible to the rest of the players, who make their decisions based on that card.

During the game, each player competes only against the dealer, ignoring the cards of the other players. Between the dealer and each player, the winner is the one who gets Blackjack (Ace + 10) or whose cards total the highest score without going over 21, with the possibility of a tie.

Each player has the possibility to ask for more cards, with the aim of increasing his total points or stand with what he has at that moment. If the request for a new card puts him over 21, the player loses automatically and both his cards and his bet will be withdrawn by the dealer. When all players have played, the dealer will show his second card and take more if necessary to reach 17 or more points, at which time he will stand.

The best hand is known as Blackjack or 21, and is made up of an Ace and any card with a value of 10. A Blackjack beats a 21 made up of more than two cards.

The gaming table

It is played on a semicircular table with a capacity of 4 to 7 players, each of them has a marked box on the mat to make their bet before receiving the initial 2 cards of each hand. This bet must be made in each round, essentially before the first card is played.

Card values
  • Aces: worth 11 or 1, according to the player's choice, depending on the need to not exceed 21.
  • Face cards (Jack, Queen and King): worth 10.
  • Cards from 2 to 10: worth their printed value.
Dealer restrictions

The dealer is subject to fixed rules that prevent him from taking decisions about the game. For example, he is obliged to ask for another card whenever his total is 16 or less, and to stand when it is 17 or more. His Aces are worth 11 as long as this doesn't put him over 21, and 1 in the opposite case.

Variants in Multi Casino Live bets

Baccarat is played with 6, 8 or 9 players depending on each casino. At the beginning, both the player and the bank are dealt two cards. The objective is to obtain a hand whose score is as close as possible to 9 by adding the values of the cards that it includes. If the total value of the hand is double digit only the second of those will be counted during the game.

At the start of each round the player must decide where to place his/her bet, on the player's hand (player), the banker's hand (banker) or a tie (tie).

Card values
  • Aces are worth 1 point.
  • Cards between 2 and 9: equivalent to their face value.
  • Face cards (Jack, Queen and King) and the 10: worth 10 points.
Possible Bets
  • With natural Value: If the bank or the player has a value of 8 or 9 the hand closest to 9 wins, without the possibility to take a third card.
  • Without Natural Value: If nobody has a natural 9, the sum of the value of the cards of each player decides who wins the round.
  • Tie: If the hands of both the player and the bank have the same points it is considered a tie.
  • 6 or 7 Points: If the value of the player's hand is equal to 6 or 7, the player must stick. If this is not the case, he must take a third card.
Additional bets
  • Pair: Consists of betting that the first two cards to be dealt to the player will both be of the same value.
  • Perfect pair: Consists of betting that the first two cards dealt to the player will form an identical pair, equal in value and suit.
  • Small: Consists of betting that during the game a total of 4 cards will be dealt between the player and the bank.
  • Big: Consists of betting that during the game a total of 5 or 6 cards will be dealt between the player and the bank.
Dragon Tiger

Dragon Tiger is extremely easy to play. At the start of each round two cards are dealt to each of the positions of the table, Dragon and Tiger. The position with the highest card wins.

Before dealing, the players place their bets on Dragon, Tiger or tie. At the end of each round of the game, the corresponding payouts are made to each of the winning bets.

In Dragon Tiger live, the highest card wins, regardless of the suit. In the case of a tie, where both Tiger and Dragon positions receive a card of the same value, the players lose 50% of their bet on Dragon or Tiger.

Card values

Value of the cards will be, from lowest to highest: Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen and King, where the Ace is "1" and the king is "13".

At the end of the game, winnings will be paid in the following way:

Dragon 1:1
Tiger 1:1
Tie 8:1

Glossary of Terms

Player: The person who participates in the game.

Croupier: The person who represents the house, spins the wheel and controls the bets.

Dealer: The person who deals the cards.

Bet: Is the bet as such. This is done through the chips which are distributed in the casino and have a predetermined value which is fixed by the dealer or "the House".

Layout or cloth: The cloth-covered betting area of the table, normally green in colour.

Take or hit: In blackjack, this option of the game allows the player to receive an additional card.

Stand: This option of the game allows the player to stay with the hand that he holds at that moment, i.e. maintain his points without adding further cards.

Split: In BlackJack, this consists of separating or dividing the bet, i.e. the game, in two. This happens because often the cards that are dealt have the same value, which is why it´s possible to Split the cards into two hands which can be played independently.

Insurance: In Blackjack, when the dealer´s visible card is an Ace, the player is allowed to place a side bet, whose value can be up to half of the original bet. From this moment on three different situations are possible.

  • If the dealer has Blackjack the player loses the entire bet, but the insurance is refunded at 2 to 1. In the end, the player neither wins nor loses.
  • If the dealer has Blackjack and, furthermore, has a higher score than the player, the latter will lose the insurance but will continue to win on his initial bet.
  • If the dealer doesn´t have Blackjack but has a higher score than the player, the latter will lose his insurance and his initial bet.

Double: In Blackjack, this game option allows the player to double his initial bet in exchange for agreeing to stand after receiving only one more card. It presents an interesting possibility, especially if the hand is worth 11. Each casino has different rules for this bet, some always doubling, whatever the first two cards, while others only allow it if the first two cards total 9, 10 or 11.
